A very special kind of ski tour. Good physical condition is a prerequisite.
Tour description:
Ascent via Nattersbergalm to the Hemmersuppenalm / Eggenalm junction, then through the forest to the Upper Hemmersuppenalm. Continue west, ascent on the summer path to the Eggenalm / Straubingerhaus. From the Eggenalm - heading south over the "Eggenalmkogel" to the highest point, short descent to the plateau to the Fellhorn.
This climb is possible as an additional route, if not to the Fellhorn, then from the Eggenalm eastwards to the Schuhmacherkreuz. Here it is essential to stay on the north side. Cross the slopes below the Schuhmackerkreuz, check signs for the ski route / winter path. The route continues over the plateau to the Durchkaseralmen with some ascents and descents. From the Durchkaseralmen on to the Steinplatte parking lot, from there over the ski slope past the Stallenalm to the Möseralm and then following the ski run to Roßalm. The descent is from there via the ski slope to Seegatterl.
Note: From Upper Hemmersuppenalm to Durchkaser or Fellhorn, the tour is in the free ski area - pay attention to the alpine dangers. Do not take the tour in fog. No rest stops from the Nattersbergalm to the Steinplatte car park. The Straubinger Haus hut is closed in winter. Take appropriate equipment and food with you. The tour can be abandoned at Eggenalm - return on the ascent track to Seegatterl or to the Hindenburghütte.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking: -Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59). Continue to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking: -Seegatterl 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from the Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection !!), stop directly at the tourist information office.
With the shuttle bus (RVO) from the tourist information every half hour to Seegatterl.
