Please adhere to all hygiene rules in order to avoid infection with the corona virus! For more information check out the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior.

Also please be aware that Austria has different rules that might change from time to time. Please check with your embassy or consulate before your travel. Random checks are carried out at the border. More with the Austrian Ministry of Health. For the return entry to Germany check out the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Health.

The following regulations currently apply to the Traunstein district:

  • Accommodation: available for the vaccinated and recovered
  • Restaurants: open for the vaccinated and recovered
  • The tourist information is open as usual (proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test)
  • Please wear an FFP2 face mask in buildings, on buses, skilifts etc.

Skiing Season 2021/ 22

Please be aware that different regulations apply in Germany/ Bavaria and Austria/ Tyrol/ Salzburg. When skiing at Winklmoos-Alm you're in Germany, when skiing at Steinplatte, you're in Austria!
