Tips for this tour

On Scheibelberg you can find the border stone of the border triangle Bavaria-Salzburg-Tyrol. According to legend, in 1806 Reit im Winkl was overlooked by Napoleon when organising land ownership. The rulers of Bavaria, Salzburg and Tyrol played cards for Reit im Winkl. Bavarian King Maximilian I. Joseph was the lucky winner thanks to the famous "Schellunter" stab.
