Tour description:

Walk briefly in the direction of the road to the Hindenburghütte, turn right close to the Steinbach stream and walk up to a stream crossing. This is where the steep alpine ascent to the Zwerchenbergalm begins. After about 30 minutes you reach the Alm hut.

The descent then takes you on an little road towards Klausenbergalmweg and from there in a northerly direction to Blindau/ children's playground and here along the edge of the forest to the starting point.

Important note: The tour is not accessible after rain or when it is wet, sure-footedness and good shoes are a prerequisite.

Arrival by car

From Munich or Salzburg on the federal motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl.

Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding. After approx. 1 km turn towards Blindau and approx. 1 km to the car park: - Fellhornweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

From Munich or Innsbruck on the federal autobahn Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59). Continue to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl.

Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding. After approx. 1 km turn towards Blindau and approx. 1 km to the car park: - Fellhornweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Arrival by public transport

Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). With the RVO bus line 9505.
