Tour description:

Highlights of the tour: church of St. Johann im Gebirg, Staubfall waterfall

From the starting point Seegatterl, the first 400 m uphill in the direction of the Winklmoos-Alm. From here we cross the imposing Unkenbach valley with the Schwarzberg Gorge, with flat and downhill passages towards the village of Unken.

On the main road after the Friedlwirt, turning left towards Heutal valley, after about 1 km turn left again towards Gföll, we follow this road steadily uphill to Moarlack, here down again into teh Heutal valley.

Simply leave your bikes at the Heutaler Hof (e-bikers can charge their e-bikes there) and walk behind the Heutaler Hof in the direction of Staubfall waterfall. The way to the waterfall becomes increasingly narrow and is rewarded with a great view of the steeply sloping waterfall.

Back at the Heutaler Hof, you cycle over the Herbstalm on a wide but steep forest road up to the Winklmoos Alm and from there again back to Seegatterl.

After crossing the border, orientate yourself on the signs. Furthermore, we recommend a navigation device (mobile phone, GPX device) and careful planning before the start of every tour!

Arrival by car

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district.

Parking lot: Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the federal motorway Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59), on to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Continue on the B 305 to Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district.

Parking lot: Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Arrival by public transport

Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). With the RVO bus line 9505.
