Running route: After a gentle run-in over the sports field and town center, it goes over a scenic path over meadows in an easterly direction, following the signs "Premiumweg Kapellensteig" counter-clockwise.
In the open area with a wonderful view of Reit im Winkl, we turn left on a meadow trail over a forest path steeply uphill (walking recommended). We leave this after 3.2 km on the left and come to a gently sloping trail along the ridge.
Again and again, views on both sides invite you to linger for a while. Via the Eckkapelle chapel on the left downhill, the trail becomes flatter and easier, below the Hausbach falls right at the Kriegerkapelle chapel via the Scheffelsteig trail left back into the village.
Right again onto Hausbachweg and left back to the Festsaal.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl.
