Tour description:
Exit parking lot Winklmoos - Alm: Direction south - east across the border to the Möseralm / Muckklause intersection. Climb up to the right via the forest road in the direction of Möseralm, after approx. 3 km turn off to the Roßalm lifts.
At the Scheibelberglift valley station, follow the ski path to the Schwarzloferlift, here heading north, descend to the Eibenstock hut. From there on a hiking trail and forest roads after crossing the ski area at the Kurfenlift. Descend slightly in a westerly direction, ascending at the Seegatterl ski slope crossroads.
Right on the forest road below the gondola to Hahnfilze - forest hut. Behind the forest hut, follow the hiking trail to the Dürrnbachalmen, from there a steep ascent towards the Dürrbachhorn, below the lift route, descent to the Finsterbachalm.
After the Finsterbachalm - descent west to the barrier. Then descend towards the south-east on the forest road to the intersection of the Heutal / Winklmoos hiking trail.
Note: long hike in the Winklmoos area, good shoes, take food and water
The most famous alpine pasture in Germany since the days of ski champion Rosi Mittermaier. Happy cows, young cattle and horses still graze here.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos - Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the motorway Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59), on to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Continue on the B 305 to Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district then via the toll road to Winklmoos-Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). Take the RVO bus line 9505 to Tourist - Info, then change to line 9507. Bus stop Winklmoos - Alm.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from Ruhpolding train station with the RVO bus line 9506. In Seegatterl change to line 9507 to the Winklmoos-Alm. Stop Winklmoos - Alm.
