Big Loop Like Pillersee

From the starting point, cycle over the Maserer Pass, downhill to Oberwössen and Unterwössen. At the church, turn left onto Alte Dorfstraße and follow it to the district of Raiten. Continue to Schleching. At the border crossing, this route climbs over the Klobenstein to Kössen. At the first roundabout, take the first exit and then the second exit, uphill to Schwendt. Continue past the cheese dairy, old farmhouses, and fishing waters to St. Johann. In St. Johann, turn left past the Eichenhof ski lifts to Fieberbrunn and Hochfilzen. Instead of following the main road, however, at the end of Fieberbrunn, turn towards the "Eisernen Hand" inn—a much more scenic option for us. Before you reach the main road back to Hochfilzen, you'll see the mighty Jakobskreuz cross on the Buchensteinwand. We'll encounter this view many more times as you cycle around this mountain to Waidring. In Hochfilzen, turn left toward the Biathlon Center and take the side road to St. Ulrich on the left. The route continues flatly along Lake Pillersee until we begin the descent to Waidring. At Waidring, we keep left again and take the main road to Erpfendorf. There, turn right and cycle leisurely via Kössen back to the starting point. Refreshment stops are available along this tour.
