Tour description:
Past the indoor pool on path no. 7 to the end of Entfelden. Cross the street and head to the Pötschalm on the Jochberg. From there continue on path no. 7 to lake Weitsee.
Turn left and follow the path next to the main road to the junction with path no. 8. (Gräbenalm)! After the Gräbenalm (1000 m, not managed) it goes downhill to the main road.
Next to the main road there is a small path back to the starting point.
ATTENTION: You have to walk about 200 m next to the main road!
Special features: Magnificent views of lake Weitsee. Nature reserve at lake Weitsee with beautiful bathing areas. Pankratius spring, water supply from Reit im Winkl.
The route can also be walked the other way round, then the option to stop for refreshments on the Pötschalm is shifted to the last third of the hike.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the federal motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl. Parking spaces: Dorfstr. 38 at the Tourist - Info, 83242 Reit im Winkl, -Tirolerstraße 37 am Festsaal, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59). On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Parking spaces: Tirolerstraße 37 am Festsaal, 83242 Reit im Winkl, Tourist - Info Dorfstraße 38, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). With the RVO bus line 9505.
