Beautiful 3-Lakes-District is a nature reserve between Reit im Winkl and Ruhpolding, with three mountain lakes suitable for swimming and sunbathing. No boats of any kind are allowed on lake Weitsee.
How do I get to lake Weitsee?
By car: on road B 305 from Reit im Winkl, direction of Ruhpolding. Lake Weitsee is located on the right side.
By bus: take the RVO public busses - bus stop Weitsee
By bike: cycling path from Reit im Winkl via Seegatterl to lake Weitsee. It takes about 45 minutes. From Seegatterl to lake Weitsee the path is slightly uphill.
Parking in the 3-Lakes-District:
There are several parking lots for cars between lakes Weitsee and Mittersee.
Dependent on the weather swimming is possible from May/ June.
Meals:
Please bring your own food and drinks, there is no kiosk at lake Weitsee.
