Take the scenic route…

The German Alpine Road (“Deutsche Alpenstraße”) is one of the most popular tourist routes and certainly one of the most impressive. The 450 km long road not only leads through our beautiful Reit im Winkl but also offers terrific sights and views along the way.

The German Alpine Road (also known as B305) begins in Lindau at Lake Constance (Bodensee) and ends in Berchtesgaden. Follow its winding way through the gorgeous areas of Allgäu, Pfaffenwinkl, the Zugspitze, Tölz and past the regions with lakes Schliersee, Chiemsee and Tegernsee. The idyllic natural reserve between Reit im Winkl and Ruhpolding is the perfect place for a refreshing rest at one of the three crystal-clear lakes.

The perfect end to this fantastic day: Treat yourself to a nice dinner with local and delicious Bavarian specialties in one of Reit im Winkl’s cosy restaurants.
