This particularly attractive and absolutely snow-sure classic trail on the plateau of the Hemmersuppenalm, in the middle of an impressive mountain landscape, is an insider tip for cross-country skiers of all skill levels.
The starting point is the Hindenburghütte (1,180 m), which can be reached with the shuttle bus.
From the Hindenburghütte restaurant, follow the signs for trail No. 8 for the classic cross-country ski trail. Enjoy the wonderful landscape with a wonderful view from the Watzmann mountain to lake Chiemsee.
There is also an easy 2 km practice trail for beginners.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marqartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding. After approx. 1 km turn in the direction of Blindau, approx. 1 km to the car park: -Fellhornweg, 832432 Reit im Winkl. Paid shuttle bus from the parking lot in the season.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59). On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding. After approx. 1 km turn in the direction of Blindau, approx. 1 km to the car park: -Fellhornweg, 832432 Reit im Winkl.
Payable shuttle bus from the parking lot in the season.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). With the RVO bus line 9505. Stop directly at the tourist information.
