Hiking on skis.
Ski touring is hiking with special skis as well as downhill skiing on prepared or natural slopes. Ski tours were invented in the late 1900s and still popular during the 50s and 60s, as skilifts where non-existent back then.
Start: Winklmoos-Alm (Altitude 500 m) or Seegatterl (Altitude 1000 m)
Start: Winklmoos-Alm, crossing Dürrnbachhorn and Heutal to Sonntagshorn (all day trip)
Start: Entfelden (Altitude 200 m, easy trail)
Start: Hindenburghütte (Altitude ca. 550 m) or Seegatterl (1000 m)
• Straubingerhaus - Steinplatte
Start: Seegatterl or Hindenburghütte
Alternative trails, prepared slopes
• Seegatterl to Winklmoos-Alm and on to Roßalm and Moseralm to Kammerköhr/Steinplatte
• Kitzbühler Alpen
• Geigelstein, Schleching
