Fasching in Reit im Winkl

Let the fun times roll in Reit im Winkl ... the jokers are lose!

When you're ready for the big fun, you'll need to know when it will be! The Fasching weekend can be anywhere between the first weekend in February and March 9. Carnival celebrations officially start on November 11th, but the real partying starts in January until it peeks on Shrove Monday and Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.
How will you know which Tuesday it will be? Ash Wednesday is always 40 days before Easter (not including Sundays) and Fat Tuesday is always the day before Ash Wednesday.
If you're still confused, here’s a list of the next Fat Tuesdays: February 24, 2009, Februray 16, 2010, March 8, 2011 and February 21, 2012.

Fasching Wedding: 90 year anniversary celebration of the amateur theater group at the Reit im Winkl Festsaal.

Shrove Monday, February 23rd, 2009
9:00 p.m.: Fun Shooting match on Shrove Monday at the Schützenstüberl near the Indoor Pool. Win the target.

Shrove Monday Fasching Party at the Reit im Winkl Festsaal, starts at 8:00 p.m.

Fat Tuesday, February 24, 2009
begining at 2:00 p.m.

A big Fasching parade through the center of town. Followed by the traditional crazy ski show on the towns ski run – little and big jumpers with very short and very long skies take on the jumps.
Throughout town there will be numerous food and drink stands for your culinary well-being.
A fun filled and entertaining Fat Tuesday awaits you in Reit im Winkl!
